As we in higher education attempt to respond to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on teaching and learning, the future possibilities for instructional delivery are yet unknown. Should conditions require the shift to fully online instruction for the upcoming academic year, now is an ideal time to consider how we can transition from "emergency response teaching" to proactive planning for effective distance-delivered learning experiences.
